I am a very big Briard (nearly 80cm to the shoulder) with a soft nature and I am strong, although I do not use my strength I can easily knock over small children if I play too hard.
I am used to children but prefer them to be over 7 and used to big dogs.
I have a good coat which can get tangles if not looked after.
I am a goofy dog and spent my first years in Oxford before moving to a new human in Auckland where I enjoy training my owner.
I am very out going and happy to meet strangers but it is unlikely anyone would try to break in if they see me; I am not frightening but can look anyone straight in the eyes if I need to.
As with most Briards I'd love my human to bits if she'd let me or just lay at her feet, but I would not be happy to be kept outside or closed in a room on my own if there is anyone else in the house, my humans need my love and I need their company.
